Primary job responsibilities:

• Running Exam rooms from start to finish with Doctor

• Using practice management software system efficiently

• Proper animal restraint

• Surgical, anesthesia, and recovery monitoring

• Nursing care of hospitalized pets

• Dental cleaning and charting

• Nutritional counseling

• Client education

• Taking proper radiographs

• Venipuncture and placement of IV catheters

• Answering phones when needed to help other staff

• Lab analyses (urinalysis, fecals when needed, cytology, skin scrape)

• Vaccination preparation and explanation of protocol

• Maintenance of hospital equipment

• Assisting with cleaning duties
